At the forthcoming Beijing International Automotive Exhibition 2020 (Auto China 2020), NIO will announce the upgrade plan of its destination rapid charge service, said EV's start-up via its WeChat account.
What is the feature of charging the battery?
The strategy is being built to further enhance the simplicity of the NIO energy system and enable all electricity consumers to enhance their charging experience, NIO said. This will be one of the components of Battery-as-a-Service (Baas) project, which the company announced recently.
NIO focuses on diversifying the approaches of refuelling. The BaaS service was officially introduced on August 20 and encouraged consumers to purchase electric cars and subscribe for the use of battery packs separately.
How much cheaper will the cost of a car be?
The service would make it more affordable to use an EV. If a user opts to buy an NIO car and requests the 70kWh battery pack in the BaaS model, he or she will experience a deduction from the original price for a vehicle purchase price of 70,000 yuan ($10,310) and will pay 980 yuan ($144) a month for the battery pack. In the meantime, consumers are also entitled to the tax exemption.
The high-quality e-maker will publish updates on the spot on updates to NIO OS 2.7.0, the NIO infotainment system, and will introduce the NOP feature, an innovative, in-house driver aid that enables the automobile to speed up and down, overtake, merge and cruise by scheduled routes.
