⬤ NIO has logged 102 vehicle registrations in Norway so far this month, according to fresh registration data. The numbers give a clear picture of how the Chinese EV maker is performing in one of Europe's toughest electric vehicle markets during a critical end-of-year period.
⬤ The EL6 topped December's chart with 44 registrations, while the new Firefly model added 33 units and the ET5 Touring brought in 17. The EL8 contributed 8 registrations, though other models like the ET5, ET7, ES8, and EL7 saw no new sign-ups this month. Overall, NIO hit 183 registrations across Norway in Q4, with December making up more than half that total.
⬤ Over the longer haul, NIO's cumulative Norwegian registrations stand at 3,346 vehicles. The ES8 remains the all-time leader with 1,731 units registered, followed by the EL6 at 648 and the ET5 at 227. The data shows newer models are starting to pull their weight in monthly volumes, even as earlier flagship vehicles still dominate the historical totals.
⬤ Norway matters because it's become the proving ground for EV adoption in Europe. Monthly registration trends reveal shifts in demand and brand strength across the sector. For NIO, keeping steady numbers in Norway supports its push to build a real presence in Europe, especially as competition heats up and buyer preferences continue to evolve.
