According to the Block Analysis August 2020 survey, August's trading volume on spot crypto exchanges reached $191,2 billion compared with $109,3 billion in July. The third highest volume of spot trade since 2017 was registered in August.

The Binance was the largest share of the market, accounting for nearly 65% of the overall amount exchanged in August, followed by Coinbase (11.2%), Kraken (4.8%) and LMAX Digitals (4.8%).
