⬤ Tesla now sells its premium Mezcal in Europe for £349. The spirit arrives in a glass lightning bolt bottle that works as a display object, another sign that the car firm keeps moving into high end lifestyle goods.
⬤ Javier Verdura, Tesla's Director of Product Design, shaped the bottle - he drew on his Mexican background. A 2018 April-Fools’ joke named “Teslaquila” drew so much attention that Tesla built the real product. The Mezcal is distilled in Mexico from agave and follows traditional methods - yet the outside carries Tesla's clean, modern look. Verdura says the design mixes his childhood memories of Mexico City with Tesla's bold lines.
⬤ The bottle is sold only through Tesla's online shop and stock is limited - it is meant as a collectible for Tesla fans rather than for daily drinking. The launch continues Tesla's habit of releasing unusual, high end items that mix novelty with premium style.
⬤ The release shows Tesla's brand reach beyond cars plus batteries. A luxury Mezcal with a striking bottle keeps the firm culturally visible, strengthens customer loyalty and gives the public one more way to view the brand.
