The market capitalization of the Nasdaq 100 is now 7.8 times higher than the total market capitalization of the Russell 2000 Index, according to The Market Ear. The ratio is close to a record set in the 2000s, during the gold age of the Dotcom bubble, when technology stocks skyrocketed.
The Russell 2000 Index includes the smallest 2,000 companies in the broader Russell 3000 Index. However, it comprises of about 70% of all US publicly traded companies.
